New Website, New Shop for CQS

Nothing ever stays the same; things are always shifting and changing. The paperweight featured above is my inspiration to go forward with two very major changes. The website is being re-designed to make it more user-friendly. It will be similar in appearance and you will have new "search" features that will make navigation much easier. The Homepage will display a different selection of linked items with each viewing.

Also, I'm opening a "shop" within a shop in Northwest Portland. An opportunity came up that I could not refuse. I'll have my CQS treasures in a space at Oxalis, a garden and clothing boutique located at 1824 NW 24th Avenue, Portland. My good friend, consultant and major support person, Kathy Moriarty, will join me in helping customers.

In addition, you'll see some changes on the long-neglected blog.

I'll keep you posted when these changes are in place. I'm shooting for early August.

New Items!

Peruvian Opal Brass Navette Hoop Earrings by Lori Greene of Pavanne JewelryLast month I attended an American craft show in Las Vegas. There I met many artists, including Lori Greene of Pavanne Jewelry. Lori is wonderful; she and her work embody the mission of CQS. Everything she creates comes from her heart and soul, and it shows in her work. I wish that you could see it and feel it to fully appreciate it's vintage, organic beauty. Sometimes pictures just can't convey...

Here are 3 of her 7 new handmade artful pieces.

Purity Rosary Necklace with Bindi by Lori Greene of Pavanne JewelryTo the right are the Peruvian Opal Brass Navette Hoop Earrings. Inside the hammered brass navette dangle is a small brass coin and an opal. The Swarovski crystal completes the stunning design!

To the left is Purity, an elegant necklace inspired by Lori's love for Indian culture and antique rosaries. The stone is faceted, crystal quartz, capped with oxidized filigree and a sterling "bindi". Two more new necklaces feature these design elements.

Hammered Baby Brass Hoop Earrings by Lori Greene of Pavanne JewelryAt the right are the Hammered Baby Brass Hoop Earrings with oxidized filigree and Swarovski beads. Mixed metals make these a versatile addition to your jewelry collection.

Visit the Pavanne Jewelry collection and see all her treasures.
