"In La Natura, leaf = nature. Nature is sacred, holy, and worthy of respect. It started out as a mono print with the leaf broken in 4 pieces. Then it became a painting with human hands on either end of this brokenness. The broken leaf is placed in front of the center of the body where the center of our being is located. Somehow, in the sculpture, the leaf becomes whole.
